India’s electric vehicle (EV) market is on a tear. According to industry analysts, the sector is expected to grow at a staggering 40%+ CAGR through 2027, making it one of the fastest-growing EV markets in the world.

What’s Powering the Surge?

Government Push: Policies like FAME II, state subsidies, and tax breaks have made EVs more affordable and accessible. The 2025 budget has further sweetened the deal with incentives for local battery manufacturing and charging infrastructure.
Corporate Commitments: Major automakers (Tata Motors, Mahindra, Ola Electric) are launching new models across two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and passenger cars. Tata’s Nexon EV and Ola’s S1 scooter have set sales records, while global giants like Hyundai and MG are ramping up local production.[1]
